About the Project
The Jungle Ruins project was completed in Maya and rendered in Mental Ray. Also used ZBrush for sculpting, Mudbox for texturing and Nuke for compositing. To get a better understanding of how lighting is affecting vegetation and how things should look overall, it’s good to shot photography of trees and plants and textures. Trying to see where details need to be how far the scene needs to go to be believable is the hardest part. Knowing how to fool the eye is a big key part to achieve some level off realism. In many of the photographs it is difficult to get a similar effect that but it helps a lot to push yourself to that level.
